Section A - Individual Video Conference Events
For assistance call CT @ (805)756-7198 and ask for assistance with Video Conferences
Step 1 : You determine with the Far End participant possible time(s) for the conference, then contact CT to determine if a Cal Poly video conference room is available at the time(s) you desire.
Step 2 : You make sure the Far End participant is following a similar process with their video conferencing group or coordination at their site. CT does not perform far-end site searches if you are trying to locate a video conference room in another city. Call us for more information and search tips.
Step 3 : Once CT has established room availability, there is specific information which we require to be able to process your request efficiently. Fill out Video Conference Request Form (HTML) as soon as possible .
At a minimum, you will need to get and provide to us the Far End technical contact info, so that CT can use the information on the form to contact the technical folks at the far end and make the technical arrangements. We will communicate with you to confirm your reservations.
Section B - Guest Lecturers via Distance Learning for your class
For assistance call CT @ (805)756-7198 and ask for assistance with Video Conferences
Step 1 : If you are a Faculty member who wishes to use video conferencing technology to occasionally connect up a guest lecturer with your class, contact CT for current technical options to address your needs. Requests will be filled by CT pending room, equipment and support availability. All requests require a minimum lead time of two weeks and in some cases may require cost recovery charges to your department.
